I just read a fascinating American Cinematographer (Jan 1952) article about the shooting of I Love Lucy, which debuted the previous year.

It includes quotations from cinematographer Karl Freund. The article’s author appears to have failed to ask him how his experience on I Love Lucy compares to that of shooting Metropolis and The Last Laugh.
